Temporary Activity Visa Subclass 407 (Training Visa)

The Subclass 407 Temporary Activity is another name of the Training Visa that enables a person to travel Australia temporarily to receive job-related training or to be allowed to attend professional development programs. This visa is best suited for individuals who are keen to develop the qualities which they have in a particular occupation, uplift their career and meet the registration requirements or even licensing in their country of origin.

 

This is not a work visa but a training visa which has been set up as the 407 visa. It assists in developing professional competence as it incorporates disciplined training offered by the approved Australian sponsors.

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Applicant must be invited by an approved Australian sponsor
  • At least 18 years old, except in case of exception
  • Posses functional skills in English language
  • Show proofs of health insurance and health and character requirements

There are three streams under the 407 visa:

  • Occupational Training to improve Skills– for people in need of training to advance their abilities in a qualifying OCCUPATION.
  • Occupational training for registration– for those who require experience to achieve registration, or licensing.
  • Occupational Training for Capacity building: sending employees abroad to the employers who have organized training sessions.
AUD430.00 for the main applicant (Department fee).
